My name is Nyree Brown. I have a masters degree in Applied Physiology and have worked in the health and wellness industry for over 25 years. So what does any of that have to do with THIS?!?! My first choice in careers was to be part of the fashion industry in some way, starting my undergraduate education in fashion merchandising and marketing. At some point, I grew discouraged and daunted, losing my confidence for whatever reason eventually moving in another direction in which I love and have had success. But fashion and the creativity that goes with it has always been on my mind.

As I’m in my 50s, I realize how life is short and the need to feed my creative side grew stronger. To keep it short, I’m taking this chance and hoping you come along for the ride.

Each project begins with Ankara print fabric. I play around and decide which print combinations work together as a quilt which then becomes the “fabric”. It is that completed quilted fabric which inspires what I create. I allow the fabric talk.
